Tangible Love is.............when ...?

The young girl walked slowly from cage to cage, at the SPCA kneeling periodically to take a closer look.....
One by one the dogs were brought out and she held each one.
One by one she said, "Sorry, you're not the one."
It was the last cage on this last day in search of the perfect pup.
The helper opened the cage door and the child carefully picked up the dog and held it closely.

This time she took a little longer.

"Mom, that's it!  I found the right puppy!  He's the one! I know it!" she screamed with joy.  Mom, startled by all the commotion, came running.
"What?  Are you sure?  How do you know?" she asked.
 "It's the puppy sighs!"
"Yes, it is the same size as all the other puppies you held the last few weeks," mom said.
"No, not 'size'- sighs.  When I held him in my arms he sighed," she said.
 "So?"
 "Don't you remember?
When I asked you one day what love is, you told me ....
"Love depends on the sighs of your heart.  The more you love, the bigger the sighs!"

Mom didn't know whether to laugh or cry.  As she stooped down to hug her child she did a little of both.

"Mom, every time you hold me I sigh.
When you and Daddy come home from work and hug each other you both sigh.
I knew I would find the right puppy if it sighed when I held it in my arms,"
she said.
Then holding the puppy up close to her face she said, "Mom, he loves me.
I heard the sighs of his heart."

Consideration....
Close your eyes for a moment and think about the love that makes you sigh.

I do not only find it in the arms of my loved ones, but in the caress of a sunset, the kiss of the moonlight and the gentle brush of cool air on a hot day.

They are the sighs of God........

Shalom

Thank you for being an instrument of the Lord in your Chronicles, He has indeed blessed me!

With kind regards and many blessings in Him.......

I found the folowing to be particularly moving because I have experienced it myself on so many occasions, I can't really relate to the first part because my late husband was sadly emotionally cold and then my son grew up and the hugs became fewer and then they stopped altogether but the rest.... "the caress of a sunset, the kiss of moonlight and the gentle brush of cool air on a hot day.... They are
the sighs of God" Pure poetry, and indeed its as though our wonderful
Creator is pulling on the strings of my heart through your words!

I hope you don't mind if I put my own views on this excerpt of your "Chronicles" ........God's creation can so easily become a prison of emptines if Jesus is not in the centre of it. I would say that life is most certainly a prison of emptiness if Jesus is not in the centre of
it. I actually am very acutely aware of His presence when I am up a mountain or anywhere in nature. On Saturday I hiked up the mountain in
the Helderberg Nature Reserve in Somerset West. I have a particularly beautiful spot there in a little forest where a little stream gurgles
over the rocks and stones. It is incredibly peaceful and even on a hot
day it is cool.
Well, I've digressed somewhat.... as I was saying I had retreated to my favourite spot, feeling very low, and I looked up and saw the name "Jesus" deeply etched in a tree! How could I have missed that before, I wondered.... but it was as though he was saying to me that I must
just focus on Him, that I am under HEAVY spiritual attack but He has everything under control, in fact the scripture came to mind "No weapon formed against you will stand". As you may have already guessed that in the spiritual realm its a "controlling spirit" that wants to wreak havoc.

I am always totally and completely in awe of the extravagance of God's creation when I am up in a little plane, such beauty, the sea, the spring
flowers.... I am just so thankful that I have been so privileged to have been in those places (around the cape area) to have taken those scenes, they give me joy each and every time I view them!
