Normaalweg sou 'n mens dink dat krag, sterkte & magsvertoon 'n persoon sal beiindruk.....
Vir my is dit egter 'blasé'.......
Die omgekeerde; -die 'sagtheid' van 'n handeling, -& soveel te meer as dit met oorgawe van intensie & sonder pretensie in alle opregtheid uitgevoer word, -laat my keer op keer terugsit in verwondering oor die impak wat dit op my as mannetjies 'mens' het.........
I watch them from a distance......
Father & son; engaged in the activity of ......'making' (& almost blowing) bubbles
They had a bottle of bubbles.
(You know the type; it's basically soapy water with a plastic loop on each end.
You dip the loop in the bottle, pull it out, and blow it to make bubbles.........)
The boy understood the principle but was vainly trying to blow bubbles.
He would dip and dip and blow and blow, but alas, no bubbles........
He handed his father the bottle with loop & asked him for help.
The father was having no more success than his son.
The father would dip and puff, no bubbles; the soapy film on the loop would just pop without releasing any bubbles.
After several futile attempts, the father changed tactics.
Instead of puffing on the loop of soapy water, the father gently breathed on it....
My boy squealed with delight as a big beautiful bubble emerged and floated away.
The boy grabbed the loop, dipped and blew.
No bubbles.
The father explained to him he must ever so gently breathe on the loop to make bubbles...
The boy restrained his ardent desire to make big bubbles by blowing hard and followed his father's advice.
There are some things that you can get with brute force, but there are other things that only come with the gentleness of ........ 'inter alias' .... a soft breath.
Too often, we try to force love or real respect.
It won't come..... as result of 'force'
It just pops before the bubble can ever form because we try to put too much force on it.
The closer something is to 'higher spirit', the more it is like bubbles; it can't be forced and is more often found in the 'soft things' of life; Jesus-like Characteristics...... according to His' example; reiterated in the Bible!
We ALL have a bottle of 'Life-bubbles' and só many times in desperate vain been puffing, -trying to get them out......
To Blow 'Beautiful' Bubbles...........relax; embrace the moment of 'now'; Breathe easy; enjoy the 'result' !
.....so much more, in the Presence of....... & with the 'Breathe' of the Holy Spirit in our spirit, gentleness comes só easily...
May the Holy Spirit teach me(you) ............ & may I be more teachable to be 'Gentle' in what I do & what I think because of Jesus Christ !
