Rememberance....

Memory keeps Gratitude fresh and gratitude keeps Faith fruitful.....
The concept of remembering is an important biblical theme.
The command NOT TO forget is given more than 400 (four hundred) times !
We are to remember inter alia:
  • The wonders of God’s creation and works of His hands:“Ask now about the former days, long before your time, from the day God created man on the earth; ask from one end of the heavens to the other. Has anything so great as this ever happened, or has anything like it ever been heard of?” (Deuteronomy 4:32)
  • That the world belongs to God: “For every animal of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.” (Psalm 50:10)
  • The deliverance of His people from captivity: “Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the LORD your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm.” (Deuteronomy 5:15)
  • The sacrificial gift of Jesus Christ on the cross: “In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of Me.’” (1 Corinthians 11:25)
Remembering is not just about looking at the past.
It is about facing the future with confidence.....
Remembering keeps us from falling into the sin of ingratitude—we remember all that God has done for us and don’t take pride in our own abilities and accomplishments.
Remembering also gives us encouragement for tough times—we remember that times have been tough before and God helped us through them and know in our hearts He will do so again.

.....Have you remembered to remember?

God, ......have done so much for me.....

I choose to reflect on His' Goodness in my past with Hope for the present and future.!
Sela

Unless you understand and learn from history, you will never be able to understand or cope with today...
