This is the test of our Love....
....... to God, our Obedience to Him.
This is Love to ourselves, to our Souls, that we walk in Obedience to Godly/Divine commands...
This is also Love to One Another........., to engage one another/each other to walk in Holiness; and this is the evidence of our sincere, mutual, Christian love - that we (in other things) walk after God's commands !
It gave great joy to see children treading in their parents' steps, and likely in their turn to support the Gospel, by Living it 'day-after-day.........'
May God bless such families more and more, and raise up many to copy their example.
How pleasing the contrast to those who spread irreligious infidelity, and vice, among their children.........!
Our walk should be true, our converse be right, when Living a Life according to the Word of God.
The fact that we might fail from time, because we took our eyes of Jesus, could be forgiven....... The Lord knows the 'intention of our hearts'........but, the situations we are continuing in self-righteousness without seeking repentance, -is much more Serious........!
This commandment of mutual Christian love, may be said to be a 'new one', in respect of its being declared by the Lord Jesus Christ; yet, as to the matter, it is 'old'
In keeping them ..........there is great Reward.....Now, -with our Beloved, &...... 'One Day' during our 'awaiting' Eternal Life...!
