Obedience.........

God had promised to lead Abraham to a place called Canaan, a "land of promise." 


Even when things looked bleak - enemies everywhere, a difficult nephew, he and his wife’s inability to have children - Abraham obeyed. 
And ultimately, despite the obstacles to overcome, he saw God's promise in his life fulfilled.

"By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going."

Hebrews 11:8 

One needs the 'sweetness' to start one on the spiritual life but, once started, one must learn to obey God for his own sake, not for the pleasure.......



Consideration....
You may feel like God is calling you into what looks like a forsaken desert.....
 You may not be sure how God's promises will be fulfilled. 
But like Abraham, you can safely obey.......
.....Because even though you might not know where you’re going, you do know who is leading you.
 And you know that He has never ever failed yet.



Contemplation....

Know that God are trustworthy.
