The ability to hear someone else's view, without letting it get under your skin is powerful.
I once shared some time on an extended flight with a lawyer.
We had opposite views on just about everything !
We both did a lot of listening [and talking!] during the time.
Both of us came away from that experience with more understanding and compassion for the other's views; not agreeing, -but respecting a different point of view.....
We part as best of friends, even though we still did not agree on many issues.
When one rejects your way or your ideas, it doesn't mean they reject you!
