F E A R !

Whenever adversity strikes, I have found that every human heart shares a common thread of truth:
Fear is man’s greatest enemy, and love is man’s greatest friend.

Fear is a natural response to life’s problems.
When we experience the emotion of fear, we usually want to get rid of it.
However, the issue isn’t how to eliminate fear, but what to do with it....?

The Bible tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

Why is this important?
Quite simply, if we do not transfer them to Christ, we will be forced to try to control whomever or whatever is causing the fear in our life.

When we attempt to take control, we end up shifting the responsibility for our happiness onto ourselves rather than on our Creator.
In doing so, we dedicate ourselves to a life of self-effort that will always result in strife and stress.
I have found in life that if I have to strive to get something, then I will also have to strive to keep what I get.

In the book of Philippians we are told:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (4:6-7)
