Humility.... an indicator of becoming 'Christlike-different'...!

"You are different........!
There is a different spirit about you than when I met you at first.
I thought you were a bit...aloof, back then......"
........Words, painfully-cutting observations I've been told several times.

A person just changes as something dramatic had happened in his life.
- It might be the result of business when things went very wrong. Lost many as a result & it impacted a man consequently, -greatly.
It brought a paradigm-shift of Humility and new found Trust in God that had not been there before.
A Tempered Attitude of Belief in the Provision of God's Grace, because He IS God!
Such paradigm-shift could also been as result of a  "pit experience" in which major loses had occurred  in family & in a personal circumstances.
Things, that had resulted from traumatic experiences.
A level of humility that was not there ever before.
It reminded me of a statement:
"Beware of any Christian leader who does not 'walk' with a limp."
(Myself, has got doubts about people/ leaders that are só full of themselves....
I would dare to say that Humility is a Pre-condition to Real Leadership! )
Sometimes God creates circumstances in our lives to create humility and greater dependence upon Him.
It is because God works greater through weakness than strength.

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness'" (2 Cor 12:9).
I often tell others.....,
"You can get humility voluntarily or involuntarily.

It is much easier if you get it voluntarily."

Shalom
