GOD ...as my /your PARTNER..!

1st Read Proverbs 16

3 October 2009.
Private detective, Daryl Els and his friend drove into Jeppe outside Johannesburg.
They were about to make an arrest after working on a murder case for about a week.
With the help of the professional tracker, Elschen Bornman they identified their suspects, but the questions remained: would they find them in Jeppe?
And even worse, would they survive Jeppe?

THREE MONTHS EARLIER…..

10 July 2009. Cullinan.
An ordinary Friday morning turned into a nightmare when the 64 year old Pieter van der Berg was attacked by three armed men.
Holding a knife against his throat, the men forced him and his wife Madeleine to lie next to each other on their stomachs.
Moments later Pieter died from a gunshot wound to his chest.
Madeleine was tied up and put in the wardrobe before the robbers set the house on fire and disappeared (with their cellphones, their firearms and some cash).
Miraculously Madeleine survived the ordeal.
After weeks of investigation without any significant results, the case was placed on the backburner, leaving the Van der Berg family with an unsolved murder.

27 September 2009. East London.
Daryl Els watched the investigative journalist program, Carte Blanche, featuring the tragic attack and unresolved murder case of Pieter van der Berg.
It was the tearful Theresa (daughter of Pieter) who told of their trauma and pain due to the unresolved murder case that touched Daryl’s heart.

Monday, 28 September 2009.
Minutes before Daryl’s plane took off for Johannesburg, where he was about to work on another case, he made a decision.
He would use his 48 hours break over that following weekend to try and solve the Cullinan case.
On his arrival in Johannesburg, Daryl got the necessary consent from the police and the Van der Berg family.
In the police docket Daryl found only one clue: one of the van der Berg’s cellphones was in use – but under a different number.

Wednesday, 30 September 2009. Johannesburg.
Daryl contacted the professional tracker, Elschen Bornman, and asked her to start searching for the stolen cell phone.
Elschen agreed and, being a believer, immediately started to fast and pray as she sought God’s help in resolving this murder case.

Thursday, 1 October 2009
To Elschen’s amazement, she found the name of the new owner of the cellphone.
She also discovered his ID number and home address without him even noticing.

Saturday, 3 October. Just as Daryl and his partner drove into the Jeppe-neighbourhood Elschen kneeled next to her bed and prayed for a speedy arrest and God’s supernatural protection over them.
An hour later three murder suspects were arrested with some of the Van der Berg family’s property still in their possession.

Do you realise ....
.....that God used Daryl and Elschen as an answer to the Van der Berg family’s prayers?
.....that it was the Holy Spirit who helped Elschen to track the stolen cellphone so quickly?
.....that God honoured Elschen’s prayers that morning in Jeppe by sending His angels to protect Daryl and his partner as the arrest went down smoothly?

Proverbs 16:3: “Commit your work to the Lord, and then your plans will succeed.”

Are you in a situation where you need supernatural wisdom, protection or guidance?
Make a decision today and do the same as Daryl and Elschen, choose to make God the leader of your team!

Father God,
Thank you that I can ask You to be my leader in every project that I have to partake in.
Guide me today and give me the wisdom I will need today.
I pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Amen
...& Peace be with you...!
