Friendship......Most Valuable now, though restricted in the scope of Eternity!

Friendship is risky, costly......
Friendship is meant to provide a refuge from loneliness, and a respite from self-criticism & the critique of an ever-demanding,  never-satisfied world.
Friendship is a relationship of mutual enjoyment.
It is a place where our hearts don’t have to work quite so hard to be heard & be understood & be accepted for whom you truly are.....
Friendship is supposed to offer a taste of what is coming when our souls will be fully known and completely at rest......
But, for NOW it is just a taste; a Prelude.....

People are NOT able to satisfy others' insatiable searching souls in a lasting way.
“Fill me!” ........  “Satisfy me!” .....are cried from friends to friends, in vain........
True Friends have tried, & their offerings have been marvellous, -but never enough!
The 'receiving friend' always has a leak, due to the shortcomings of.......... being human.
Really, it’s a 'break in the pipe', & being aware of his/her own brokenness, 'the friend on the receiving end', has tried to hide it, exchanged / traded-in old friends for other 'new& better' friends to tend it, but even that just haven't worked.
The 'ever-demanding urge' has backfired.........

Solution.....?
Just Being.....a True Friend; Unconditional; non-demanding, an ever-giving without expecting anything, ever back...!

I have learned the hard way—and just about everything I have learned, I have learned the hard way, —including the beautiful freeing truth that Jesus is the only one who can satisfy one, long-term........
He’s actually the only one who is meant to!

Shalom ......& Maranatha

Beautiful. Thank you for the reminder that a true friend is not someone you kill time with, but someone you share life with - in good and bad times, when we feel good about ourselves and when we wish the world would swallow us up. When we share our experiences, they become so much more meaningful. Thank you for the reminder that we are not all alone, but that we can touch the face of God by touching our friends' hearts. That is what you do for me daily DT xxx
