Through Neglect, ...(Any) Order, returns to its natural state of...: 'Chaos'

No great company sets a goal to slide into mediocrity.
No in-love newlyweds plan to divorce down the road.
No fit, muscular athlete figures how to put on a hundred pounds and get totally out of shape in the next few years.
No neighborhood holds a meeting to outline steps toward a rundown community.
No committed, vibrant Christian dreams of a day when he or she will walk far from God, living a life of joyless compromise.

The common denominator in all the above too-often-true scenarios is....

"Neglect...."

"The neglected heart will soon be a heart overrun with worldly thoughts;
the neglected life will soon become a moral chaos;
the church that is not jealously protected by mighty intercession and sacrificial labors will before long become the abode of every evil bird and the hiding place for unsuspected corruption.
The creeping wilderness will soon take over that church that trusts in its own strength and forgets to watch and pray .."

The wilderness does not swallow up a great city in a day, it creeps closer and closer—through neglect of....
-Prayer....
-A community of believers......
-God’s Word......

These are neglected at great risk to our souls!

It requires 'Daily Diligence'...in 'walking closely with God'
Do you...?

I rise before dawn and cry for help; I wait for Your words.
Psalm 119:147

Isn't it interesting, though, that the great saints all chose to spend time in the wilderness to contemplate before they did their greatest deeds? Perhaps order comes from chaos?? One of those great paradoxes of life, which makes me think God must have a great sense of humor...
